Whatever your neighborhood preference, Maui has one to make you feel at home. There’s historic plantation towns and newly emerging neighborhoods; quiet country surroundings and in-town living; oceanfront communities and multi-acre estates.

south maui

South Maui is home to one of the largest communities on Maui Island and offers a range of housing options from beachfront estates to in-town apartments; eclectic shopping, dining and entertainment; and easy access to beaches and parks.

central maui

Central Maui is made up of two major communities – Kahului and Wailuku towns. Historic Wailuku town is the county seat and in the midst of revitalization; it offers in-town living and a variety shopping and dining options. Kahului town is the commercial center of Maui and home to the Maui Arts and Cultural Center and Maui Community College; it offers in-town living and an array of dining, shopping and entertainment options.

east maui

East Maui is a perfect companion for the outdoors lover – the area is sparsely populated and encompasses much of the island’s rainforests and state and national parks, which are home to a stunning variety of biodiversity and unique geographical features.

west maui

West Maui is home to a number of communities, the largest of which is historic Lahaina town, the former capital of the Hawaiian Kingdom and whaling port that today supports a vibrant tourist industry; it offers housing options from oceanfront communities to in-town condominiums; eclectic shopping, dining and entertainment; and easy access to beaches.

upcountry

Upcountry offers quiet country living amidst rolling hills and a cooler climate than the island’s coast. The former paniolo (cowboy) town Makawao is the commercial heart of the area, and is home to a general store and several boutiques and eateries.

The North Shore’s renowned waves have created a vibrant surf community in this area, which is centered around the historic plantation town Paia – a bustling small town that offers locals and visitors eclectic dining, shopping and entertainment; the area offers a range of housing options from in-town living to oceanfront estates; and easy access to beaches.

lanai and molokai islands

Lanai and Molokai Islands offer quiet, rural living in the beautiful natural setting of Maui County. Both islands are linked to Maui via ferry and airport services.
