Access capital to start, grow, export, or expand your business. Maui Economic Development Board (MEDB) is proud to support and host the upcoming workshop presented by SBA Hawaii; Hawaii SBDC and Maui Women’s Business Center.

Join the Small Business Administration (SBA) and federal and state financing partners for a comprehensive workshop on funding options for small businesses. This program provides a structured overview of public-sector loan and grant programs available to startups, growth-stage companies, exporters, and agricultural businesses. Attendees will hear directly from agency representatives and lending partners on eligibility requirements, documentation standards, and practical use cases.

• Hawaiʻi SBDC Maui Center & Maui Women’s Business Center – Program overview and guidance on preparing for financing.

• U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) – Overview of 7(a), SBA Express, and Export Loan programs, including lender expectations and qualification criteria.

• HEDCO Local Development Corporation – Explanation of the SBA 504 Loan Program for fixed-asset financing, including documentation and borrower qualifications.

• Department of Business, Economic Development & Tourism (DBEDT) – Hawaiʻi STEP Program – Trade show support, export training, and reimbursement grant opportunities.

• USDA Rural Development – Value-Added Producer Grants and Business & Industry Guaranteed Loan Program for eligible businesses.
