Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education is vital to the future of our youth – providing them with pathways to 21st century STEM careers and opportunities to pursue their dreams.
Since 2006, Maui Economic Development Board has been helping to advance STEM education programs through their grant making vehicle, the MEDB Ke Alahele Education Fund. Today, this Fund has awarded more than $1.2 million in grants to support an array of STEM initiatives throughout Maui County and the state of Hawaii, empowering hundreds of youth and teachers with needed STEM skills.
Now, you can give a gift of STEM! Make a donation to your favorite school or organization through the MEDB Ke Alahele Education Fund and make a difference in the lives of our island’s keiki.
Here’s how it works:
- These designated funds are held for awards to the designated school.
- Designated schools submit a grant application to the MEDB Ke Alahele Education Fund. For more information download the Grant Guidelines.
- The MEDB Education Committee reviews and awards grants to applicants from the designated school who meet the criteria for an award.
This is a Pilot Program. If you don’t see your school in this list and would like to donate please contact Cari T. Gerard at 808-875-2336.
Don’t forget to share this fundraising opportunity with your family and friends so they can contribute too! The more people who donate, the more we can all make a difference in the future of our youth.
All contributions are tax deductible through the Maui Economic Development Board, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
