A Pathway To Our Future

The first-ever Robotics Challenge was a hit with guests. A big mahalo to the robotics teams from Baldwin High School and Maui High School who coordinated this effort.

Our Maui County community set new records during the 2011 MEDB Ke Alahele Education Fund benefit dinner and auction held at the Grand Wailea Resort on August 27, 2011.  Over 600 people (the highest number of guests to date) enjoyed a lively robotics competition, fabulous prizes at the silent and live auctions, presentations from Fund grantees, and a special showing by Distinguished Educators U.S. Senator Daniel Inouye and his wife Irene Hirano Inouye, and Mayor Alan Arakawa and his wife Ann Arakawa.

The event culminated with the unveiling of $265,000 raised for the Fund -- the highest amount raised to date!  A big mahalo to all the sponsors, supporters, volunteers and attendees for making a difference!
